A Celebration Of The Art & Design Of The Automobile

Des Moines Concours d’Elegance is full of surprises

We are pleased with the great weather, large crowd and the surprise win for Best of Show awarded to Alan and Janet Larson with their rare 1946 Chevrolet Woody Station Wagon. The look on their face before receiving the award was priceless.

We cannot thank our sponsors and volunteers who truly make this weekend happen. Our event keeps growing each year which helps us continue the work we love. Our mission is more than just showing some amazing automotive history with our close partnership with Children’s Cancer Connection we are able to assist their organization to succeed in its mission to enhance the quality of life for families affected by childhood cancer by providing programs for education, recreation and support. We were so excited to have the numerous families directly affected by our fundraising to come and enjoy the day with us and share in the celebration of art & design of the automobile.

Twelve classes of sculptured machines – from Classics to Porsches, Corvettes to Volkswagons. All on display around the John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park.
