Parking
We request but do not require you to park your exhibition vehicle on Saturday, September 9th at the Wellmark Garage from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Enter the garage on 14th Street between Grand Avenue and High Street / Ingersoll Avenue. Trailer Parking is available in the Meredith Corporation parking area. (Download the map HERE for details)

Allora Café, 1459 Grand Avenue, Saturday, September 9th, 4:00 to 7:00 PM
A fun social event will be held at the Allora Café on the first floor of the Renzo Piano designed Krause Gateway Center, next door to the Wellmark garage. Our guest speaker will be Luke Chennell, Associate Professor of Technology at McPherson College. Luke will give in-depth presentations on four selected cars that will be at Sunday’s Concours. This will also be a great time to meet sponsors and fellow exhibitors. Allora will provide hors d’oeuvres and beverages with a cash bar. In an effort to cover expenses and allow the Des Moines Concours to continue to make substantial donations to the Children’s Cancer Connection, tickets are $25 per person. 2023 Des Moines Concours Charity Gala
Friday, September 8, 2023 5:30 to 9:00 PM
The Fabulous Stine Barn, 4000 Turnberry Drive, West Des Moines, IA
The event is hosted by the Iowa Automotive Heritage Foundation with proceeds from the event to benefit the Children’s Cancer Connection. Open beer and wine bar and coffee bar. Several exclusive vehicles will be on display including a Bugatti Chiron Sport, a 1932 Alfa 6C and a 1987 Ferrari Testarossa with less than 1,000 miles on the odometer! Limited tickets are available.
5:30 to 6:30 PM – Cars & Cocktails
Cyd’s Cheese & Charcuterie Board offers a vibrant and visually appealing spread of handpicked gourmet cheeses and cured meats accompanied by plentiful portions of dried fruit, fresh fruit, homemade preserves, Dijon mustard, olives, gourmet nuts (including Marcona almonds and walnuts), and so much more.
6:30 to 7:30 PM – Delicious Dinner Buffet by Cyd’s
Fresh in Season Garden Greens including peppers, cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes with Champagne Vinaigrette, Ranch and Creamy Italian dressings. Other sides include a Fresh Tomato and Mozzarella Salad, Focaccia Bread with Garlic Butter, Alaskan Shrimp Tray with Cusabi Cocktail Sauce, along with a warm Vegetable Medley and Fingerling Potatoes. The Main Entrée choices are Filet Mignon with Himalayan Salt Block Whipped Horseradish, Broiled Alaskan Sockeye Salmon and Mozzarella Pesto Chicken Breast. There will also be a Dessert Assortment, a Full-Service Ultimate Coffee Bar and an Open Beer and Wine Bar.

2023 Heartland Driving Tour
Saturday, September 9th, starting at 7:30 AM
This year’s Heartland Driving Tour leads drivers through the idyllic Iowa countryside along roads less traveled. Our route follows the Des Moines River Valley through beautiful parks and local sights. Along the way, the Driving Tour visits Jester Park, Ledges State Park, Boone’s historic trains, and time at an automotive collection. The tour ends at lunch provided to all tour participants. Price for the tour is $40 for each participant (driver and passengers) and includes lunch, coffee and treats and more. Proceeds benefit Children’s Cancer Connection.
