The ’55 Ford was designed to give a feeling of motion when viewed from any angle, and within the Fairlane series, the tiara-banded Crown Victoria offered an excludsive “glasstop” model. Very few of the 1,999 ’55 glasstops remain today, and this particular car was manufactures in the colors promoted in the 1955 sales brochure. This car was found in an old dirt floor garage in an alley in Decorah, IA in 1984, and was given a complete body-off restoration to original specifications by the owner between 2002 and 2004.
